Some of PRUDE’s most high-profile funders and supporters stopped by our offices recently to meet with and encourage us in our mission of service to the Saint John community.
On Thursday, July 28, The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) joined New Brunswick Aboriginal Affairs Minister Arlene Dunn, Saint John Mayor Donna Reardon, Alberta Minister of Labour and Immigration Kaycee Madu, and their respective teams, in a visit to our offices.
Our guests spoke to each of our program coordinators to learn more about their work with PRUDE in the community. And, we at PRUDE expressed our gratitude to Minister Fraser for IRCC’s longtime support of our Come Together The Canadian Way (CTCW) Program, as well as its five-year funding commitment to both our Newcomer Women Leadership Program and Dive Into YSJ program.
“We love the multiple-year funding, as these are some of our core programs,” said PRUDE Managing Director Li Song. “We are a staff of people from nine different countries, so I feel this best supports our immigration, diversity, and growth agenda.”
PRUDE thanks Minister Fraser and our other honoured guests for their continued interest and support, with special thanks to Minister Dunn for organizing the visit.
